wedding time line H-E- double hockey sticks! Help!!
Ok so I an trying to do a wedding time line and I have no clue as to where to begin.... I know the basic we line up yada yada.. but we are getting tripped up on the reception.... I think we are suppose to have cocktail hour, our first dance, the toast, then dinner and more toasting and dancing. My biggest trip up is that the facility we have chosen(I love it) its rustic/classic/charm. Theres a red barn with a downstairs reception area, we are going to set up the tables and food in there, outside there is a covered pavillion wher the DJ will set up and we will dance, its surrounded by picnic tables, a flowing stream, wild flowers and horses (we are getting married in the smokley mountains) and you cant see teh dance floor from inside. Anyway, thats a different problem I have to figure out, but the time line?? Any help is appriciated.. there are 10 weeks to go and I have nerves of jello.

Time Line
Here is mine so far
Time Line
6:30-6:50 Ceremony
6:50 - 7:15 Pictures
7:15 Reception Starts
7:30 Dinner
8:00 Cake Cutting
8:15 - 10:00 Dancing
8:15-8:45 Specialty Dances 8:30 - Dollar Dance
A few of the DJ sites I ran across suggest you do all the dancing at one time instead of breaking it up with various events. Especially with your setup it would make sense to do all the dancing after dinner and cake cutting and such are over.

Re: wedding time line H-E- double hockey sticks! Help!!
Most of the time, when the bride or some other non-professional wedding planner creates the time line, it seldom works out. Like not allowing the photographer enough time, forgetting travel, traffic, etc. Talk to your DJ, he is the BEST for doing your time line.
