Do-It-Yourself - Wartime Themed Wedding..

My fiance is in the United States Navy and I'm absolutely in love with the WWII era, so I thought it would be neat to bring it into our wedding. Right now our plan is to have the wedding on our five year anniversary, March 7, 2009 [Navy Permitting]. But I am having a hard time coming up with ideas for centerpieces, favors, colors and invitations. I found a Dogtag place online that will come to the reception and do laser engraved dog tags. And contacted them about the date/price. But after that I'm sort of stuck... Any suggestions?
