In 1890~ John Mouat~ Scottish immigrant~ amassed a fortune in lumber. Working with the top architects of the day~ Mouat helped build Denver from a mining camp along Cherry Creek to the crown rowing town of Highlands - geographically and morally above the wild town of Denver. Built as a home to his five children and wife~ Amelia~ Mouat showcased his finest wares in this 8~500 square s: cherry~ oak~ poplar~ sycamore~ maple~ and walnut - each with distinct carvings and fine details.
