OVERVIEW
THINGS TO SEE AND DO
Kayak miles of pristine barrier reefs. Hike through lush, magnificent Halawa Valley. Ride horseback along gorgeous coastlines, across wild rangelands, and mountain bike over soaring sea cliffs. Comb golden beaches where the only footprints are your own. And find something you may have lost somewhere deep inside.
Getting around on "Hawaii's Most Natural Island" is easily accomplished. Once on island you can rent a car from one of several international and local companies or choose to explore our island with an expert guide.
Either way, you'll have easy access to all of Moloka'I's spectacular natural sites, from miles of white sand beach to rain forested mountains. And, if a day trip to another island is on your agenda, the Moloka'I Princess Interisland Ferry offers service between Maui and Moloka'i.
Dining Out:
Although Moloka'I boasts just a handful of restaurants there is no shortage of delectable offerings. There are restaurants at the hotels, Maunaloa, Kualapu'u, Mile 16, and Kaunakakai. Good local-style foods at reasonable prices.
Eating In:
Grocery stores are found in Maunaloa, Kualapu'u, Kaunakakai, and at mile 16 on the east end. Foods range from wholesome health foods and local produce to tantalizing multi-cultural specialty foods.
