    OVERVIEW

Welcome to Trinidad and Tobago, a cosmopolitan mix. Here you find the allure of an old world civilisation overlaid with a new world energy. This is the birthplace of calypso, limbo and steelband. The culture and heritage of our society boasts of ethnic influences from every continent.

Trinidad is sophisticated, possessing a savoir faire that is seen in the artistic expression of the people. The home of Carnival, a unique expression that has spread far and wide. Still, one is but moments away from lush forests and verdant hills where a wealth of wildlife and flora testifies to the richness of the land….Come to Trinidad and live life to the fullest!

Tobago is cool, serene and green, with its lush tropical rain forests and the mystery of her seas. Go diving with Mantas and meet a people with a quiet pride and a relaxed way of life, rich folklore and customs and a unique history. Have an authentic Tobago Wedding and complete the picture of the perfect vacation. The ideal getaway…Come home to Tobago and restore your spirit.

Off Trinidad and Tobago, the confluence of the cool North Atlantic currents, the warmer Caribbean waters and the rich effluent of the Orinoco River creates coastal waters of unusual richness, teeming with many types of marine life. Trinidad and Tobago, originally part of the South American continent, has retained many of the plants and animals of South America, leaving the islands with a diversity of flora and fauna quite disproportionate to their size. In addition to possessing the flora and fauna of South America, these islands are also influenced by their geographic location, being a perfect stopping point for Northern or Southern migratory birds, butterflies or anything drifting in the ocean or wind currents. Habitats include Tropical Rain Forest, Savannah, Semi- deciduous Forest, Mangrove Swamp and Marsh Lands

Flora and Fauna Highlights: Over 260 species of birds breed in Trinidad and Tobago. Over 150 migrate here from North and South America. Over 430 species of birds, and over 600 species of butterflies have been recorded in Trinidad and Tobago. There is also an enormous variety of trees, orchids, shrubs, insects and other wildlife.
