We are proud of our military personnel and would like to do our part to honor the brave men and women who have fought in Iraq to make our world a safer place. A HEARTWARMING STORY: Steve and Kristine met three years ago in San Diego, CA and have been in each other's hearts ever since. During this time,they have have discovered a bond that has grown tremendously. Through years of uncertainty, political unrest and time apart, they have formed a love for each other that, with each passing day, finds new meaning and resolve. Over the course of their relationship, Steve has been deployed three times. One year after they had met, Steve was deployed, performing Humanitarian Operations in East Timor and joint military exercises in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Their commitment to each other was put to the test again when, after the tragedy of September 11th, as the world was mobilizing to disarm the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, Steve was called upon to deploy, only seven weeks after his return from six-months in the West Pacific. After Steve had arrived back in the States after 4 months in Afganistan, he and Kristine took time to focus on each other and infront of Kristine's kindergarten class, Steve proposed. However, their wedding plans were put on hold and the inevitable happened yet again. Steve was called back to the Middle East for a deployment of unspecified duration. This time, their separation was clouded with the threat of war. Despite challenging times, both Steve and Kristine have proven their love for each other and their commitment to their country. "We both hold a positive attitude about our life together ahead of current events.," says Steve. " Regardless of the sequence of events, we both sleep contently at night knowing that we will have each other to return to."
