Amaryllis,
botanically known as Hippeatsrum, is
sometimes called the Belladonna Lily. It is a bulb
flower which originated in South Africa. Its
unusual star shaped flowers sit majestically
atop a large, hollow stem. Shaded in colors of
crimson, pink, and white, this flower makes an
excellent focal point for a table arrangement or
an altar arrangement. Amaryllis first becomes
available in the late summer and is readily available
until year's end. The flower is odorless. If you
are getting married at Christmas time, we
recommend using a few "Christmas Gift" white
Amaryllis within your flower decor. The
flower will remain open for five days. |
